Different Types of Codes Related to Cell Phones
Sim unlocking pin might not be a new term for so many, but some may get confused between the sim unlocking pin, network unlocking pin, and the screen unlocking pin. Here you can learn about the difference between all three to develop a better understanding and not get confused in these three.
First of all, let us talk about the network unlocking pin this one gets users confused the most. When you get a mobile phone, your network carriers can set a pin code on your phone so that that phone can only be used with that particular network. Your phone would not be compatible with any other network until and unless it is unlocked with that pin.
Secondly, there is a sim network unlock pin. This pin code is set by the user itself and is more for privacy purposes. This is to ensure that in case someone else finds a sim card, they are hot able to misuse it as they cannot make any call or send a message until they enter this code. It is to be noted that this code does not have anything to do with the phone.
Third and the last one is screen unlock code, which is the most heard one as this is what everyone enters several times in a day. This code is not linked to the network or sim card. It locks your screen after a certain period, and the user does not have any access to applications. This is basically to secure your valuable data not to be accessed by everyone.
Of all the codes mentioned above, the one which can be quickly recovered is the screen unlock pin as you have an alternate for that that can be another code or just entering data for verification. However, for the rest two, you do not have any alternative.
